Biography

Born in Lyon, Perrine Madoeuf joined the Maîtrise of the Opera de Lyon at the age of 9. She was given the role of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel by Humperdink and sang under Kent Nagano.

In 2002, she graduated from the Conservatoire National de Lyon and continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Lyon. She then completed her training at the Opera Studio of the Flanders Opera during the 2004-2005 season.

She won the first prize at the International Competition in Barcelona in 2008. She has been selected to sing in the world famous OPERALIA singing competition from Placido Domingo in Verona, in August 2013 and won the audience price at Mâcon International Competition in 2013 and in 2014, the 1st price at Marseille Operetta Competition and the 2d price at «Forum Lyrique d’Arles».

In concert She has performed oratorios such as Haydn's Creation, Sainte's Cecile Mass and Gallia by Gounod, Mozart's Requiem, Poulenc's Gloria and Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.


On the opera stage, Perrine has sung roles such as Despina (Così fan tutte) in Lyon; Abra (Juditha triumphans, Vivaldi) at Opéra de Montpellier; Gabrielle (La vie Parisienne, Offenbach); Cupid et Philadell (King Arthur, Purcell) with Festival Interval’ d’automne; Zénobie (Ciboulette, Hahn) in Lyon; Violetta (La Traviata) in Lyon; Micaela (Carmen) with Festival Ninon Valin; Manon (Massenet) in Bad Homburg; Marguerite (Faust) with Unesco, Paris; Gilda (Rigoletto) in Fichtelberg and Chateau de Buc, and in such creations as Anna in Sorelle bronte by Chenna staged by Davide Livermore for the Venice Biennale.

From 2010 to 2013, she has toured with My Life with Mozart by Eric Emmanuel Schmitt, embodying the Mozartian soprano with the Orchestre Symphonique Lyonnais. She is also toured Maria in West Side Story, all over France, China and Canada.

Project in 2018/19: Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle in the Ukraine; debut as Marchesa del Poggio in Un giorno di regno at the Teatro Verdi di Busseto with the Parma Festival; Marguerite in Faust with the Opera in Tallin; Comtesse Adele in Le Comte Ory  ath the Ópera de Rennes and at the Theatre de Normanide in Rouen.
