Italian Bass, Rocco Cavalluzzi is quickly distinguishing himself as an artist on the international operatic stage.

In 2013 Rocco graduated with first class honours from the Conservatorium of Music Perosi at Campobasso with Maestra Marina Gentile. Following the completion of his degree, he commenced private study with Maestro Sherman Lowe in Venice.

In 2012 Rocco was placed first in the singing competition “Illica” in which he was awarded a scholarship to attend a Masterclass held by the great baritone Rolando Panerai.

Despite his young age, Rocco has achieved various accolades as a professional performer and debuted both principal and supporting roles in numerous works under the direction of highly regarded conductors and directors.

Some of Rocco’s most recent achievements include the role of Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata at Teatro Petruzzelli, conducted by M. Rustioni and directed by Ferzan Özpetek, as well as the role of Count Ceprano in Rigoletto  conducted by M. Rizzari, and directed by Denis Krief. This performance was broadcast live on the site of Telecom Italia as well as on the television program "Prima della Prima" - Rai 3.

Rocco has performed Mozart's Requiem with the Orchestra “Magna Grecia” under the baton of M. Romano at the Cathedral of Taranto, and recently he made his debut at the 40th Festival della Valle d’Itria in the role of the Mago Geonca in La Donna Serpente (A. Casella), conducted by Fabio Luisi and directed by Arturo Cyril.

As well as professional roles, Rocco participated in a competition in which he was awarded a place in the "Opera Estudio de Tenerife" where he performed the role of Alidoro in La Cenerentola at the Auditorio de Tenerife in October this year.
